The Business Intelligence Analyst will assist in identifying and replicating best practices around key business processes and provide direct support to users of NextGen, the agency’s practice management (PM) and electronic medical records (EMR) software. Additionally, the Business Intelligence Analyst will serve as an enthusiastic partner in launching and sustaining new large-scale business initiatives and ongoing business intelligence work. Through these efforts, the Business Intelligence Analyst will support and promote a team-based, customer-focused, results‑oriented service model that achieves business, operational, clinical and financial goals.Essential Functions:·Produce monthly statistical reports for health center managers, the Medical Services and Senior Management teams, and other parties as required, using Tableau, Microsoft SQL, and other programs as needed.·Prepare reports and dashboards in Tableau using data from Practice Management and; maintain the live and monthly visit and productivity statistics used by PPIL.·Create new Crystal Reports for end users and auditing purposes utilizing SQL commands, sub-reports, parameters, and other functionality.·Monitor, triage and resolve internal and external data requests, providing exemplary customer service to respond to customers and resolve issues quickly.·Develop custom Business Intelligence and Enterprise Data Warehouse solutions.·Display knowledge of the underlying language of PPIL’s data systems (SQL, Excel, etc.) and PPIL’s business intelligence toolset (SQL, Tableau, Crystal Reports, NextGen PM and EMR Reports, etc.)·Pursue relevant proficiencies/certifications for NextGen, SQL, Tableau, and other programs determined by PPIL’s business needs.·Prepare high-value, professional written and oral presentations of key data and analyses.· Coordinate data systems integration across the agency; where possible, facilitate cross-departmental/cross-disciplinary applied use of data.·Through these activities demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to PPIL core values of access, activism, care, confidentiality, diversity, excellence, integrity, respect, self‑determination, and stewardship; practice these values in relations with internal and external customers Other Responsibilities:·Ensure accurate and timely compliance reporting, in conjunction with the Risk & Quality Management department.·Assist with coverage of the NextGen helpdesk.·Serve as an advocate and spokesperson for new business operations initiatives/projects.·Provide targeted, prompt ad-hoc training to business users as needs arise; proactively integrate this knowledge into standard training materials.·Support the launch of new business operations initiatives/projects; support training, implementation, and monitoring/evaluation efforts.·Support the planning, implementation, and monitoring/evaluation of health services to maximize cost-effectiveness, revenue, and customer service.·Serve as core member of NextGen Implementation Team; support the testing and rollout of NextGen and Template updates: assist with troubleshooting, testing and training.·Develop and maintain documentation.·Perform other duties as assigned. Supervisor: Senior Business Intelligence Analyst Status: Full-time, exempt from the overtime provision of wage and salary regulations. Qualifications: Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree required. Superior written and verbal communications skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other common Windows programs is required. Experience using Tableau to create and package workbooks preferred. Ability to write Microsoft SQL queries required, and ability to create Crystal Reports preferred. Expertise in the preparation and analysis of data, with an ability to adapt to changing environments and demands, is essential. Experience conducting end‑user training in both classroom and one-on-one settings, including creation of training documents and tools for system implementation and upgrades, is preferred. Must possess an ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner. Professional and Personal Qualities: Demonstration of effective interpersonal and organizational skills, including ability to work with diverse groups of employees at all levels. Possess excellent customer service skills and commitment to providing the highest level of service to all internal and external customers. Must be able to problem‑solve and multi-task effectively, follow through with complex assignments, and work under time constraints. Have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Be proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with strong skills in Microsoft Excel; candidates may be asked to take a short assessment demonstrating proficiency. Be experienced in running Microsoft SQL queries, preparing Tableau workbooks, and creating Crystal Reports; or be able to learn quickly. Be independently motivated to meet project management goals and objectives. Be willing to participate as a team member and work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends as required.
