Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho (PPGWNI) seeks a motivated and compassionate individual to join our Ellensburg clinical team! This is a full-time position (37.5 hours/week) working Monday through Saturday.


In this role, you’ll be responsible for independently providing a wide scope of patient care – you’ll conduct patient intake, run screening tests, provide health education to patients on a wide range of topics, and more. We will provide all the training and support resources you'd need in-house too. At Planned Parenthood, our Back Office Assistants (also referred to as Medical Assistant - Registered) work side-by-side with our clinicians to provide direct patient care, and lead many dimensions of care and service delivery.

Requirements

 Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide a warm and supportive experience to all patients.
  • Safeguard the privacy and protected health information of patients in compliance with law and PPGWNI policies. Completely understand confidentiality and HIPAA and consequences of non-compliance.
  • Set patients up in exam rooms and conduct intake, including vitals monitoring, health history, and an overview of patient needs.
  • Perform lab tests.
  • Conduct health screenings.
  • Provide patients medically-accurate and unbiased education on a wide range of health topics, including infection transmission and treatment, birth control options, pregnancy, and more.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Completion of high school education or its equivalent (GED).
  • A demonstrated commitment to PPGWNI's mission statement.
  • Superior customer service and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility in work schedule included.
  • Travel to other health centers.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a medical setting.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

Travel

  • Required up to 25% of the time to various PPGWNI health centers.
  • Valid unencumbered driver's license, proof of insurance, and personal vehicle required.
  • Travel will be reimbursed and time spent traveling is paid.
