PlanITROI is Hiring a Security Guard Near Denville, NJ
- Assume overall responsibility for the safety and security of designated areas
- Ensure all employees and visitors have proper credentials for accessing building (ID badges)
- Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and building
- Ensure operations and front office are following warehouse protocols at all times when entering and exiting warehouse
- Warning persons of rule infractions or violations and apprehending or evicting violators from premises
- Ensure zero beep policy as visitors, patrons or teammates walk through detector
- Operate detecting device to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas when beeping occurs
- Maintain log sheets of cell phone allowances, approved PlanITROI apparel and any other approved items
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of teammates, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises
- Circulate among visitors, patrons, and teammates to preserve order and protect property
- Call police or fire department in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons
- Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering
- Complete incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents
- Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly

- Respond to emergencies and incidents within designated areas promptly and according to policy
- Assist employees and visitors with any concerns they might have
- Escalate emergency situations to law enforcement as needed
- Monitor alarms and security camera
- High school diploma or GED required
- Professional security education and training, with working knowledge of basic security techniques
- Previous security-related work experience needed
- Strong communication skills, both written & oral
- Ability to stay calm and respond quickly in stressful situations
- Comfortable kneeling, carrying, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods of time
- Must have reliable transportation
