PISON is Hiring an IT Manager Near Boston, MA

Job Summary:

  • Become the primary POC for all IT Support Issues
  • Maintain and purchase all current and future IT equipment
  • Provide customer service that “exceeds expectations” for our employees, contractors and customers
  • Work directly with the Director of Systems and Information Security to maintain our high Cybersecurity standards
  • Maintain the security posture on our current and future infrastructure

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and track open IT issues and projects to closure
  • Provide IT related training for current employees and while onboarding new employees
  • Act as a mentor for interns and future IT staff
  • Develop and build out the IT team locally and globally
  • Work with the VP, Cybersecurity to roadmap a hiring plan for the IT/Security organization going forward
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Software troubleshooting experience with OS’s (Windows, Mac OS, Linux), networking (Cisco, Juniper, Unifi) and other environments (Google Workspace, Microsoft, Confluence/Jira and GitHub) 
  • Previous Help Desk / Customer Support Experience
  • Hardware troubleshooting experience with laptops (PC & Mac), servers and networking devices
  • Ability to work as an independent contributor
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • DevSecOps environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • GOV equipment certification (DoD 8570 Certification)

Education and Experience:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity and/or Computer Engineering
  • 3 years IT experience (outside university)

Physical Requirements:

  • Open to travel - initially limited travel; eventually may spin up to set up IT Support at remote location and or innovation centers.
  • Need to be able to lift and move IT equipment. (Examples - computers, networking equipment, batteries and backup equipment)
