Job Summary:
You will be a highly capable contributor managing the delivery of government research and development (R&D) and procurement contracts for Pison’s Business Development unit.You will coordinate within Pison and with developer partners and subcontractors. These contracts are vital for advancing Pison’s electroneurography (ENG)-based gesture control technology for integration into government acquisition programs of record for human-machine teaming, situational awareness, night vision devices, and augmented reality for dismounted users.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None at this time, but the right candidate may quickly establish a rapid growth path to manage projects and staff aligned with the company’s growth rate.May recruit, interview, and/or train new staff as needed to execute awarded programs.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Lead or support the execution of government-awarded research & development or procurement contracts, including management of subcontractors/vendors and their scope.
Manage project development timelines across the company.
Perform solid cost/schedule/performance risk assessment and management of current and proposed efforts, and effectively convey assessments to company executives.
For all of the business unit’s contracts, track project financial status to include milestone accomplishments and payments, labor, other direct costs, and profit margins.
Organize and lead cross-functional synchronization meetings between Business, Product, and Engineering teams.
Maintain Pison’s regular reporting tools (spreadsheets, etc) that illustrate the pending Business capture pipelines.
Administer the submission of contract reports, documentation, and presentations.
Organize contract proposal efforts, including scheduling of proposal preparation efforts, coordinating inputs from multiple personnel, critiquing the content for evaluation standards compliance, and submitting proposals in a timely manner.
Manage logistics of the storage and distribution of hardware (devices, phones, drones, etc) in support of demonstrations, formal evaluations, and contract-specific events.
Establish and maintain proficiency in corporate technical I.T. enterprise software systems that support product and engineering workstreams.
Clearly communicate project status, from individual contributors up to CEOs.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent verbal communication skills, enabling the effective and confident explanation of project plans and progress to company leaders and team members.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and complex environment, and able to make decisions under pressure.
Proficient with Google workspace, Microsoft Office, and related productivity software. Ability to learn collaborative enterprise software systems such as Jira and Confluence.
Desired for the candidate to have working knowledge of project management processes such as Scrum and Agile.
Education and Experience:
Four years of relevant experience in a related position.
Current project management credentials or certification desired but not mandatory.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Able to travel 1 week per month to the corporate office in Boston or customer locations throughout the United States.
Work Location:
Objective: Desired for the candidate to reside in the Boston area and thus be able to work out of the Pison office in downtown Boston up to three days per week to ensure effective cross-functional and executive-level collaboration.
Threshold: The candidate may reside near the East Coast and thus be able to easily and routinely travel to the Boston home office.
