Description

SUMMARY:

This position provides financial and business analytics. This includes data sourcing, tracking, and mapping, reporting, performing analytics, and creating analytical models.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

1. Data Sourcing
2. Map and understand data sources
3. Track data flows from EMR through Billing to reporting
4. Reconcile data reports to ensure consistent information. Example, process date versus service date.
5. Reporting
6. Build reports to support business needs including operations, quality, and finance.
7. Produce administrative level summaries with concise information for decision making.
8. Manage reports for accuracy and effectiveness
9. Explain complicated data reporting and document assumptions appropriately
10. Analytics
11. Review and reconcile existing analytics including cost allocations
12. Prepare additional analyses as requested
13. Analyses including trend, key performance metrics, and variance
14. Financial data including clinical service line, rendering provider, and revenue cycle
15. Develop new analytical models for various business needs
16. Operational models
17. Quality models
18. Financial models including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flows
19. Ensure data consistency and methodology of reporting and analytical models
20. Explain complex concepts, data, and analytical models
21. Project Work on an as needed basis
22. Ability to coordinate and leverage resources across organization
23. Professional Development and Application of Skills
24. Maintain general knowledge of all clinic data systems
25. Key subject matter expert on latest analytical and data mining tools and concepts

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field required and Masters preferred
2. At least two years’ experience in financial or business analytics
3. Working knowledge of industry coding (revenue codes, ICD classifications, CPT codes, etc.)
4. Working knowledge of industry terms (HL7, PHI HIPAA, HITECH, etc.)
5. Familiarity with applied statistics
6. Experience with Microsoft Office and intermediate Excel
7. Multi entity, multi-location experience preferred
