The Accountant performs and coordinates accounting duties within the organization and is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, timely month-end reporting, financial statement and budget preparation, and process improvement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

* Summarize and prepare financial statements and transaction reports, including monthly profit and statements, cash flow statements, etc. for several operating divisions.

* Support finance and accounting by analyzing financial information to produce forecasts and financial models used to support day to day business operating decisions.

* Work closely with members of the Operations team and management to ensure a strong understanding of operating procedures necessary to accurately report monthly financial data.

* Significant involvement with annual budget preparations.

* Work closely with Accounts Payable and Operations team to ensure accurate coding of expenses.

* Prepare documentation for external auditors.

* Other duties and projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

* Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years of related experience or Associates and 4 years of related experience,

* Solid working knowledge of GAAP. 

* Full Financial Close - Timely month end closing of the general ledger including journal entries, accruals, and trial balance review.

* Financial Statement Preparation & Analysis - Preparing and analyzing financial statements including balance sheet, profit and loss, and cash flow.

* Account Reconciliation - Preparing account reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts by month end.

* Strong financial analysis skills.
