Pilot Ventures is Hiring a Leasing Agent (multi-family) Near Seattle, WA

Pilot Property Management is a local company specializing in multi-family real estate in the greater Seattle area. Our focus on long-term client success is at the core of everything we do and we strive to operate the properties we have been entrusted to manage as if they were our own. As we continue to grow our portfolio of 1000 units, we are seeking an additional Leasing Agent to join the team!

As the first point of contact for potential residents, the Leasing Agent is the face of the company. Successful Leasing Agents are professional and provide high-level customer service, consistent with Pilot Property Management's values for all residents and clients. A typical day for a Leasing Agent includes advertising available apartments online, communicating with prospective residents, scheduling and conducting apartment tours, and coordinating maintenance and cleaning of upcoming availabilities.

This is a full-time, hourly position. Leasing Agents work offset schedules, typically Tuesday through Saturday, 9am to 6pm, reporting to a Property Manager.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Must have access to reliable transportation - this position requires daily travel between various property sites in the greater Puget Sound (Seattle-Everett-Tacoma)
  • Valid Washington driver’s license with an insurable driving record
  • Adherence to Federal, State, and local fair housing laws and best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High computer literacy including MS Office Suite
  • Organized and able to adapt to a fast-paced job and situational changes
  • Great time management, including prioritization and communication
  • Capacity to remain calm in intense situations
  • Accept constructive criticism and give appropriate feedback
  • High School diploma required two years of professional experience in customer service, sales, leasing, or other related field

Duties

First and foremost, the Leasing Agent will provide prospective residents the absolute best move-in experience and provide existing residents with exceptional customer service. Other duties include:

  • Advertise and inspect available apartments
  • Schedule and conduct tours with prospective residents
  • Ensure leasing tours have highest probability of closing
  • Maintain records of guest activities and keep availability updated
  • Monitor vacancy and make the necessary adjustments to meet each building’s goals
  • Ensure apartments are ready for new residents prior to move-in date, including coordinating any necessary maintenance and cleaning
  • Respond promptly to service requests and schedule necessary work to be completed
  • Maintain accurate and complete resident files in accordance with company policies
  • Report unsafe conditions to Supervisor and follow protocol to prevent accidents or injuries
  • Assist Property Managers and Property Management Team with tasks as needed

Compensation & Benefits

  • $20-22/hour
  • $175 commission per new lease completed

Additional Information

  • Schedule: this is a full-time position, Tuesday – Saturday 9am – 6pm
  • Work Environment: Onsite work in our Seattle office and in the field at managed properties is required. This position is roughly 30% in the office and 60% in the field (subject to change).
