Wingate by Wyndham Angola is currently looking for Laundry Attendants to join their team. As a Laundry Attendant you will be responsible for the washing, drying, and folding of all linen and terry for the entire hotel. Our goal at Wingate Angola is to enhance our guest's experience by maintaining a clean, friendly, and relaxing environment while they visit our community.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean, pleasant and professional image to the guest and wear the proper uniform at all times.
• Keep work area and supply closets clean and organized.
• Remove and sort soiled linen and terry items.
• Wash items according to Ecolab standards using appropriate chemicals.
• Dry and fold items according to Brand standards.
• Follow all OSHA requirements at all times.
• Ensure all items are examined and spot treated.
• Complete any special cleaning projects as assigned.
• Make sure lint traps are cleaned and emptied on a daily basis.
• Ensure supply closets are fully stocked with linens and terry products.
• Communicate with the housekeeping department to ensure that product demands are met.
• Read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Full understanding of all hazardous waste and blood born pathogens.
• Perform all duties as required and other tasks as assigned while following good housekeeping habits and safe work practices.
• Communicate with the manager on any equipment maintenance needs.
• Provide assistance to other team members to contribute to the smooth operation of the department and the hotel.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Self-motivated. Ability to work without constant supervision.
