The Director of Risk Management and PI assists the leadership, medical staff and Quality Council in designing, planning, implementing and overseeing a comprehensive and integrated regulatory and compliance program.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Supervising and supporting regulatory and compliance activities on a daily basis and assure that action is taken as needed and as authorized by organization policies and procedures.
2. Receiving and reviewing department/service performance measures and documentation to evaluate performance improvement activities and coordinate reports of findings on daily, monthly and annual basis to the Quality Council, Medical Executive Committee and Board.
3. Maintain records of the performance improvement performance measures and statistical tools used to describe studies performed or methodology.
4. Advise and assist all departments/services and committees accountable for regulatory and compliance activities.
5. Prepares, coordinates and documents Quality and Compliance meetings.
6. Maintain a record of all completed reviews, evaluations and quality team activities.
7. Review all incident reports, patient/physician surveys and patient complaints to determine the presence or absence of patterns and/or trends or opportunities for improvement in patient care outcomes, as well as the appropriateness of corrective action.
8. Attend and participate in appropriate committee and department or service meetings in which performance improvement activities occur.
9. Share data and information with appropriate committees and departments/services.
10. Assist with Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA, and state surveys.

Qualifications

Your Experience Matters What we’re looking for:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Nursing or a health-related field, preferred.

Experience: 2-3 years’ experience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting involving quality improvement, preferred.

Additional Requirements: Licensed to practice nursing or mental health related field in the State of Georgia preferred; computer skills involving knowledge of Excel spreadsheets, and business writing, preferred
