Physicians Mutual is hiring for a full time Lead Housekeeper in our Housekeeping Department. The selected candidate will supervise the night crew and assist them with the cleaning of the home office. The selected candidate will write a daily report for the Housekeeping Manager. Assist the Housekeeping Manager in assigning cleaning tasks to the night crew and ensuring that they are completed. In the absence of the Housekeeping Manager will perform some managerial duties.

Job Qualifications:

• 3-5 years in a Senior Housekeeper position.
• Knowledge of operation, care, and maintenance of carpet extractors, floor scrubbers, vacuums, buffing machines, and other specialty equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of safe and proper methods for mixing and applying cleaning chemicals.
• Knowledge of various surface types and appropriate cleaning chemicals for each.
• Oral and written communication skills required to conduct staff training, complete forms/reports, disciplinary action, etc.
• Ability to instruct housekeeping staff in proper cleaning methods and equipment operation.
• Ability to identify faulty or unsafe working conditions and take appropriate action.
• Ability to perform minor equipment repairs (replace vacuum belts, brushes, etc.); trouble shoots equipment to order required parts or to request repairs.
• Ability to maintain adequate level of activity and attention to detail to ensure assigned cleaning tasks are performed.
