What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Receptionist position at Physicians Accounting and Management?
Looking for a part-time or full-time Front Desk Receptionist for Gentle Dentistry in St. George. Potential hire will be responsible for day-to-day operations including greeting and helping patients as they come to the clinic. Hours will be dependent upon full-time or part-time status. The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5 PM.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Managing daily office functions and employees.
- Oversee scheduling, billing, front office and work with surgeons when needed in back office.
- Perform general office duties such as answering telephones, prescription line and patient callbacks.
- Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; keeping patient information confidential.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
- Counsels patients by transmitting surgeons' orders and questions and explaining treatment procedures, medications and surgeons' instructions to patients.
- Must have 1 year experience as a dental receptionist.
