THE OPPORTUNITY

We are currently searching for a competitive, self-motivated, enthusiastic team member to work in our Tampa office. The ability to work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment is essential. The Pharmacy Systems Technician is responsible for assisting our Clinical Pharmacist with the facilitation of engagement in a collaborative healthcare model that strives to improve patient health outcomes and optimal pharmacy utilization.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work with the health services team in processing functions for various pharmacy programs while successfully maintaining KPIs
• Navigate across multiple technology systems to respond to questions or to provide specific medication details / clinical information
• Receive incoming calls from members or providers; conduct outgoing calls as needed to provide follow-up or consultation such as prior authorization requirements, drug interactions, medication adherence, alternative therapies etc.
• Educate provider consultants on pharmacy-related communications to physicians
• Partner with others to gather additional information and/or to interpret clinical guidelines; act as a resource for others

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED (or higher) or equivalent work experience
• 6 months of healthcare industry experience (examples: pharmacy, health insurance, medical office, etc)
• Pharmacy Technician licensing and registration in Florida REQUIRED
• Proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
• Availability to work Monday - Friday for an 8-hour shift
