MISSION AUTISM CLINICS LLC is Hiring a Part Time Behavior Technician - Community Support Services Near Allentown, PA
**This posting is for our community services line - offering part-time/variable schedules between the hours of 8am-7pm** Job Summary: Our Behavior Technicians-ABA are a critical part of our team. Our BT-ABA staff provide individualized services in a 1:1 teaching format to children with autism across home, school, and community environments. MAC will provide all of the necessary training you will need to start your career as a Behavior Technician, as well as opportunities to grow with us through professional development, mentorship, and training. Our training program provides you with the tools you need to be successful as you learn to apply and implement behavior analytical techniques under the direct supervision of a BC-ABA or Behavior Analyst. Essential Functions:
Work 1:1 with children and young adults with autism by applying and implementing behavior analytical techniques that increase communication, self-help, and social and play skills under the direct supervision of a BC-ABA or Behavior Analyst
Utilize positive reinforcement and antecedent modification to increase appropriate behaviors over time
Use the appropriate/prescribed ratio of reinforcement for each client and conduct frequent preference assessments to ensure adequate supply of reinforcers
Assist in the development and maintenance of instructional materials
Maintain accurate records of client performance/progress via data collection and/or clinical notes through an online and paper data collection system
Ensure timely completion of session notes within 24 hours of service delivery, promptly communicate barriers to supervisor as needed
Maintain expected productivity levels
Implement skill development and behaviorally programming as designed. Seek additional training and support as needed to ensure accurate application of prescribed techniques.
Communicate confidentially and professionally with BC-ABA/BA, teachers, parents, and principals
Respond appropriately to feedback and/or correction
Manage required supervision and training hours, requesting additional time as needed to remain compliant with IBHS regulatory requirements
Report concerns directly and promptly to your supervising BC-ABA or BA
Toilet training and diaper changing may be required
Other duties as assigned
Requirements Education, Experience and Skills:
Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
Experience/strong interest in working with children with autism or other developmental disabilities
18 years of age or older
First Aid/CPR certification is required by time of hire
Ability to communicate effectively with others
Be willing to learn and grow as a Behavior Technician
Must have availability from 8:00am-7:00pm on weekdays
Must have reliable transportation to travel to assigned locations of service delivery
Must be able to pass a state and FBI background check and state child abuse clearance
Have knowledge of use of modern technology, i.e. PC, Mac, iPad or other tablets. Training will be provided on the systems used
Must be able to obtain RBT certification within 60 days of hire if working in PA and within 45 days of hire if working in MD
Ability to read and write English fluently is required
Minimum Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and move for 100% of the day
Use of hearing, hands and eyes 100% of the workday
Ability to push, pull, lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally during the work day
Stamina and ability to work all assigned hours
Ability to move freely, quickly and frequently from a sitting (on the floor or in a chair) to standing position
Job Type: Part-time Salary: From $19.00 per hour Schedule:
Monday to Friday
Part time hours between 8am and 7pm
