Cold Spring Hills Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing is a rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility located in Syosset, Long Island. Our staff is committed to ensuring the highest quality of life for all of our residents by maintaining each resident’s dignity and independence. We pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service to our residents and families.
Our Art Therapists are responsible to:
-Assess the recreational therapy needs of the residents based on their psychosocial, cognitive capabilities, and previous interests.
-To implement, evaluate and modify programs to meet the programming needs of the resident population.
-Conduct therapeutic activities on assigned units and in other program areas and trips.
-Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and formulate appropriate goals for resident care plans.
We require our art therapists to have a Bachelors and/or Masters in Art Therapy from an accredited college.
-Preferably two (2) years of experience with the geriatric population
-Experience working with Alzheimer's/Dementia population preferred
-Variable shift/hours
-Must have weekend availability
