Phillips Management Group is Hiring a Part Time Maintenance Technician Near Columbia, SC

Summary

  • Maintain grounds of property by hand and power tools. Will perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: watering, raking, trash pick-up and keeping breezeways and hallways clean.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor Turns, vacant units and move outs
  • Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work needed
  • Plumbing, carpentry, drywall, insulating, roofing, pool maintenance, appliance installation and repairing buildings, floors or stairs
  • Maintain exterior appearance of property to present good “street appeal”
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that building systems and physical condition of asset doesn’t deteriorate
  • Perform routine trash pick-up daily
  • Daily dumpster corral clean-up
  • Blow and clean breezeways and hallways
  • Trash compactor and pool maintenance during season
  • Operate power equipment such as twin axle vehicles, snow blowers, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters and pruning saws
  • Deliver notices when necessary
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume and be able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

  • Basic computer skills

  • CFC, CPO, HVAC Certifications (Recommended)

Other Qualifications

  • Must have own vehicle and tools
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and insurance

  • Must be able to work with persons who are in stressful situations due to nature of customer service environment; Must be able to calmly work under pressure; must be able to complete multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
