Responsibilities:
In the role of an Entry-Level Purchasing Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Updating Purchase Order Information: Maintain procurement schedules by consistently updating purchase order delivery dates and order acknowledgments. Additionally, monitor product deliveries, ensuring accurate and timely receipt while taking proactive measures to expedite orders when necessary.
- Collaborating with Planning: Work closely with our planning team to provide regular order updates, ensuring efficient coordination.
- Managing Purchase Order Confirmations: Organize and maintain purchase order confirmations for efficient reference and record-keeping.
- Assisting with Inventory: Assist in counting and documenting non-inventory items, as well as organizing and maintaining non-inventory areas.
- Researching and Locating Hard-to-Find Parts: Apply problem-solving skills to research and locate elusive parts and technical services.
- Completing Additional Projects and Duties: Contribute to various projects and tasks as assigned, showcasing your versatility and commitment.
Qualities:
We are seeking candidates with the following qualities:
- Effective Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for seamless collaboration.
- Experience or Education: Preferred 1-2 years experience in a procurement role and/or education in Supply Chain.
- Meticulous Organization and Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail are key attributes that will ensure success in this role.
- Proficiency with Office Software: Familiarity with standard office software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Multitasking and Prioritization: Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable and Resourceful: Reliability and resourcefulness are highly valued qualities in our team members.
- Flexibility: Adapt to changing priorities and tasks as needed.
- Physical Capability: Be capable of lifting, carrying, and moving a minimum of 25 lbs as necessary for the role.
