In the Cost Accounting Manager role, you will own all facets of cost accounting and analysis for this new role at Pharmatech. Using your strong background of cost accounting, you are willing to roll up your sleeves to work across multiple teams to help drive our manufacturing excellence to the next level.

Pharmatech is a growing, privately held company, that specializes in manufacturing & packaging nutritional supplements. Our customers products can be found in retailers and grocery stores throughout the US.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full ownership and accountability of the product standard costing process
• Lead efforts across multiple teams to identify and execute product costing improvements to simplify, streamline, automate, and standardize costing related activities
• Responsible for annual operating plan standard cost update and ad-hoc costing related requests
• Provides recommendations for process improvements
• Provide support for special projects to improve business performance and processes
• Ensure standard costs are accurately updated in our ERP system (JD Edwards) and flowing through our ERP system correctly
• Analyze and explain standard cost variances in relation to raw materials, direct labor, variable/fixed overhead, and other manufacturing GL accounts
• Set up new product routings and extend cost data to work centers
• Support the VP of Finance and/or other Finance Team members in other finance/accounting related projects, tasks, or assignments
• Establish departmental budgets and review monthly

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

· Minimum of three years of cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

· ERP experience required, JDE (JD Edwards) strongly preferred

· Strong understanding of cost accounting, standard costing, financial accounting, and related processes.

· Highly proficient in MS Excel.

· A team player who can work individually on assignments and be a key member of a team
