Pharmaron Manufacturing Services located in Coventry, Rhode Island has an opening for an Accounting Manager.

What the Job Entails:

The position has responsibility for accurate and timely completion of Pharmaron Manufacturing Services US (PMSUS) monthly financial close, review and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. Prepare and distribute monthly financial statement and related schedules for the monthly close, consistent with the Pharmaron corporate calendar. Additional responsibilities include:

• Responsible for monthly financial close consistent with Pharmaron corporate calendar. Manage journal entry process and account reconciliations. Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Prepare monthly cost center expense statements compared to budgets.
• Monthly reconciliations and reporting for all Balance Sheet accounts.
• Responsible for Fixed Asset reporting and management of the company Capital Appropriation Request systems (CAR). Reconciliation and alignment with the Oracle Fusion Fixed Asset module.
• Work with Oracle Fusion team to develop report job cost / cost of sales reporting consistent with Pharmaron corporate revenue recognition and inventory policy.
• Work with Accounts Payable to manage cost center expense reporting and monthly cut off requirements.
• Assist in the annual budget process and monthly forecast modeling, including developing of product standard costs.
• Participate in special projects as assigned including implementation of Oracle Fusion ERP system, inventory reporting and cycle count system, cost saving initiatives and other annual site objectives.

• Will have strong working knowledge of GAAP.
• Requires attention to detail to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.
• Ability to rapidly gather information around problems / issues that arise and take timely action to resolve independently according to departmental policies with strong aptitude toward customer service.
• Requires creativity in applying innovation in identifying and recommending process improvements to management relative to department needs or metrics analyzed.
• BS/BA in Accounting with 2 - 5 plus years of experience.
• CPA / experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of Oracle Fusion or other ERP systems required.
• Excellent PC skills - Teams, file sharing, excel and PowerPoint.
