Education & Experience Requirements

· Current American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM) certification and documented Emergency Department experience within the last 24 months of hire.

· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the management of pediatric and obstetric patients, including obstetrical emergencies, such as precipitous deliveries.

· 3000 hours or more of clinical experience within the last 24 months of hire in an Emergency Department with an annual volume of at least 18,000 and a combined admission/transfer rate of at least 10%; OR 5000 hours or more of clinical experience within the previous 60 months of hire, and 1000 hours or more within the last 12 months in an Emergency Department with an annual volume of at least 18,000 and a combined admission/transfer rate of at least 10%.

· Must have current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
