PFM Financial Advisors LLC is Hiring a Senior Analyst Near Memphis, TN

PFM is a recognized national leader in providing financial and consulting advice to public sector, non-profit and other institutional entities. For more than forty years, PFM has advised many of the country’s largest municipal and institutional entities including states, counties, municipalities, townships, boroughs, authorities, school districts, not-for-profit organizations, and pension funds. The Senior Analyst will support our Mid-South practice assisting with municipal bond transactions, client project management, and marketing / RFP support. Successful candidates will be expected to be nimble in a fast-paced environment in which they are given significant responsibility. Ideal candidate must have the ability to work with multiple managers, manage multiple and differing priorities and deadlines, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and willingness to study and pass MSRB Series 50 exam within six months of hire. A hybrid work arrangement, working 2-3 days in the Memphis office, is available. RESPONSIBILITIES Utilize sophisticated debt structuring concepts and proficiently use both Excel and DBC Finance® software. Create financial and credit profiles for current and prospective clients. Master and model rating agency criteria for various industry sectors. Create and manage spreadsheets for analyzing financial information and developing and presenting financing scenarios; analyze various options to come up with optimal solutions for our clients. Prepare presentations for use in rating agency communication, client communication and marketing. Support client marketing and proposal efforts. Develop proposal schedule; draft documents; coordinate input, internal review, and production. Organize, prioritize, and schedule work for each client project and/or financing transaction. Build complex quantitative models; process capital markets transactions; develop transaction schedules; review legal documents. Work seamlessly with team members who travel frequently and may be based in offices around the country. Maintain existing relationships with financial advisory clients (primarily public agencies) and develop new relationships to support growing business. Coordinate information flow between staff, clients, and PFM project managers. Complete assignments in a timely manner and communicate assignment progress with internal staff on a regular basis. Present reports and other materials, including financial analysis to internal staff and clients at meetings. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree and demonstrated interest and/or expertise in public sector / municipal finance, as evidenced by 2-4 years of demonstrated work experience, preferably in a related field (public finance, consulting, engineering, economics) or project management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with clients, prospects, external partners, managers, and colleagues. Experience performing financial transactions including complex financial modeling and critical analysis. Ability to think and act strategically. Looks at issues affecting the team from a larger, longer-term perspective than just day-to-day task-execution. Demonstrates flexibility and problem-solving skills when approaching complex situations and often uses creative methods/solutions. Insists on accountability of self and others. Understands the relationship between individual and team objectives and the broader company goals. Resolves problems proactively. Outstanding teamwork and project execution skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment. Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks, following up as necessary, managing up as appropriate to ensure completion. Willingness to learn a specialized financial field, and continually increase knowledge and responsibilities. Demonstrates unwavering integrity and instills confidence in others. Desire to improve processes, take initiative and solve problems. Strong quantitative, problem solving and analytical skills. Detail oriented with strong organization skills. Excels in a team-oriented environment, working with a diverse group of colleague, clients, and other industry professionals. Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications. DBC Finance® exposure desired. Passage of MSRB Series 50 within six months of hire.
