We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our team! The ideal candidate should have excellent Excel skills, be organized and detail-oriented while also having the ability to see the big picture. This individual will add value through analyses, and possess a continuous process improvement mindset. This person will have the ability to partner and communicate well with internal customers (Global Support Center and restaurant locations), external customers, co-workers, and management and display a passionate commitment to the goals of the team and the Company.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of GAAP and understanding of internal controls

  • Assists in month-end close process

  • Prepares journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Prepares quarter-end and year-end audit schedules

  • Prepares detailed account and unit-level analysis, identifying trends or unusual activity; displays the ability to research and resolve outliers effectively

  • Prepares period-over-period, quarter-over-quarter and year-over-year trend analysis and variance explanations

  • Prepares ad-hoc reporting and participates in projects as assigned by management

  • Looks to add value through analyses with business recommendations and through a continuous process improvement mindset; seeks to challenge the status quo

  • Partners well with internal customers, co-workers, and management and displays an overall dedication to the team

  • Continuously develops technical skills in order to leverage systems for process improvements

  • Must be self-motivated, proactive and have the ability to work independently with little supervision while managing multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Has a positive attitude, is adaptable, and displays a willingness to assist others as needed

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting -or- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting -or- Any Bachelor’s Degree with a Certificate of Accountancy or Master of Accountancy

  • 2-5 years accounting experience; some fixed assets accounting experience is preferred

  • Proficiency in various computer software products, such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Knowledge of Workday is a plus

  • Accounting experience in a multi-unit environment a plus

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work both virtually from home office and on-site in corporate office (Located in north Scottsdale near Bell/Hayden Road)

  • Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 10 pounds) during the course of the workday

Benefits:

  • Flexibility: Position offers flexibility to work remote a portion of the time
  • Paid Time Off Program: Full-time Global Support Center team members receive at least 20 days per calendar year for sick and personal time off, based on years of service. The pools of these days off may vary based on states. R&R days are prorated based on date of hire for all new team members.
  • Paid Holidays: All full-time and part-time Global Support Center team members will be compensated at their regular base pay for eleven (11) company chosen holidays to the extent the holiday falls on your regularly scheduled workday. Additionally, team members are granted an additional two (2) floating holidays to use as they wish (subject to supervisor’s approval).
  • Lucky Cat Meal Card: We hope you are hungry! All Global Support Center team members are eligible for a Lucky Cat Card that is preloaded with a set dollar amount for each calendar year, and which can be used at any P.F. Chang’s location. Any unused monies are not eligible to be carried over at the end of the year.
  • Tuition Reimbursement: All full-time Global Support Center team members that have been with PFCB for six months are eligible for the tuition reimbursement program. Upon department head approval, PFCB will reimburse up to $3,000 annually for tuition expenses, books, and miscellaneous course costs for certain classes and/or courses of study at an accredited college or university.
  • Insurance: Medical/Dental/Vision plan options available; eligibility for coverage begins the 1st of the month following date of hire
