Preferred Education:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Required Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Current registered nursing license in the state of Texas.
Preferred Licensure/Certification/Registration:
CPR; BSN
Required Work Experience:
One year nursing experience preferably in hospice or home care
Required Technical Skills:
Demonstrates clinical competency; ability to collaborate with others; ability to initiate and plan own work activities; effective patient/staff teaching. Has developed the following skills for pediatric, adult and geriatric patients:
- Knowledge of growth and development
- Ability to assess age specific data
- Ability to provide age specific data to other caregivers
- Ability to interpret age specific responses to treatment
