About the Role

The Field Supervisor is a field mentor for all technicians. They strive to maintain a professional and positive company image in the marketplace through personal attitude, action, and appearance. They will execute scheduled curbside evaluations with assigned technicians to bolster proper procedures and budget requirements. The Field Supervisor will work with the HVAC Department Manager to identify areas for improvement in the department and are to be extensions of the HVAC Department Manager in the field.

What You'll Do

• Work with the Department Manager to help identify technicians with development opportunities provide coaching for those identified.
• Coach, train, and develop all assigned technicians with daily goals and metrics identified by the HVAC Department Manager.
• Assist with classroom training and developing training programs and curriculum.
• Provide on-the-job training with new apprentices and technicians, educating them on the proper diagnostics and 100% compliance to all Peterman standard operating procedures.
• When needed, assist the HVAC Department Manager by personally visiting customers with concerns, recalls, and attending Peterman events.
• All Technician ride alongs must have a completed curbside form for every call.
• Keep company vehicles clean inside and out. Keep truck dash clean and free of all items. Follow procedures in Company Vehicle Handbook for vehicle maintenance, operation, and cleanliness.
• Daily debriefs to HVAC Department Manager on all activities of the day (Wins/Challenges).
• Provide additional phone support for your team during after-hours situations.
• Always has a clean spare uniform in the truck.
• Alert Dispatcher and Manager immediately about customer concerns.
• Attend and participate in all in-house and outside training meetings.
• Continually develop personal and technical skills.
• Conduct and document One-on-Ones every 2 weeks with technicians.
• All other work-related tasks/duties as directed by HVAC Department Manager.

What You'll Need

• Knowledge of Local HVAC Codes
• Ability to Make on the Job Decisions
• 5 year's Residential HVAC Experience Preferred
• 1 year Supervisory Experience
• A Clean, Safe Driving Record, Background Check, and Drug Screen
• EPA Certification (NATE is a plus, too!)
• High School Diploma or GED
