VCA Veterinary Specialists of Northern Colorado (VSNC) has been serving Northern Colorado for over 20 years and has a well-established surgery department. We are looking for you to join our incredible team! Our surgeons perform a wide variety of procedures from orthopedic and minimally-invasive surgeries to large tumor resections. We are also one of the few hospitals in Colorado with a surgical oncologist on staff and therefore we see cases that you may find new and exciting!

Our surgery technicians are heavily involved in all aspects of patient care from the initial visit to dismissal from the hospital. Responsibilities include client communication, venipuncture and IV catheter placement, anesthesia plan development and implementation, induction and maintenance of general anesthesia for surgery and diagnostic imaging for CT and/or MRI, laboratory test processing and completion, and radiology services. For those interested, you can also be trained to operate our CT scan, scrub in on surgeries, and provide emergency anesthesia support for surgical cases.

VCA VSNC is committed to providing advanced education for all of our associates. As such we provide bimonthly anesthesia continuing education which is RACE approved from a board-certified Veterinary Anesthesiologist whom also provides in-person training and assists with critical cases. We encourage our RVTs to advance their skills and investigate areas of veterinary medicine that they are interested in, including support for VTS certification.

The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care-with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen.
