SUMMARY
We are seeking an Actuarial Analyst to support the actuarial analytics of several products within a portfolio of roughly $300 million of insured premium that spans a diverse set of health related product lines and pet insurance serving multiple distribution models serviced by several TPAs. We are looking for an individual with a sharp mind, excellent problem solving abilities, and strong data manipulation skills. This position supports our actuarial management team and will have access to cross departmental management and outside business relationships.
Compensation package is commensurate with experience and job responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Rate development.
Experience monitoring and projections.
Reserving.
Developing renewal recommendations.
Reporting and variance analysis.
Ad hoc analysis.
Compliance filings.
Advising and communicating with business partners.
Other duties and projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
Actuarial exams – must have passed at least 1 exam or be enrolled in an Actuarial Science program.

Intermediate SQL database skills.
Intermediate Excel skills.
0-3 years of experience working in the financial or insurance industry.
Bachelor's degree in math, finance, actuarial science, economics, accounting, computer information systems, or other quantitative field is required.
Strong MS Office skills or aptitude.
Access and Visual Basic skills are a plus.
Effective presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
