We are recruiting for a dynamic Food Safety/QA Manager for our Bridgewater, VA facility. This individual provides leadership, direction and execution of all plant food safety functions to support the company's food safety goals and ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies. They will ensure all products produced meet or exceed all customer, regulatory and company requirements as they relate to food safety and directs the plant Food Safety department in selecting, developing and motivating food safety team members to achieve organizational goals.
This position comes with a full relocation package for eligible candidates.
Bachelors degree or higher in the area of poultry, meat or food science, and 3 - 5 years of experience.
Ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience as Food Safety manager in poultry processing environment.
Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db. to 110 db.
May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
