Responsibilities

We are seeking a System Administrator to perform software application maintenance and backups on mission systems running a variety of operating systems.

What you'll do:

• VMware administration responsible for configuration, maintenance, monitoring and overall support of multiple VMware environments
• Setup, install, configure ESXi and blade servers
• Maintain and restore VM backups and snapshots.
• Update system process documentation, guides, diagrams, and SOPs as needed.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance such as general computer tasks, backup/restore, application loads, disk utilization, system loading and monitoring
• Detect, isolate, document, quickly report, and resolve system outages or problems encountered during operations of the operational system baseline
• Collect diagnostic data describing the environment at the time of the failure, restore system operation, develop workarounds, and other activities necessary for recovery of a system
• Perform system performance trend analysis as required
• Support system engineering as required for ongoing analysis and integration efforts
• Coordinate IT system installations, maintenance, and upgrades
• Implement and support incident and problem management; provide metrics data to determine trends; and recommend actions to improve performance

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Expereince/Education: BS with 0-2 years or expereince or HS with 6-8 years.
• Experience in datacenter and enterprise operations administration.
• Experience in multiple Operating System environments, including installation and patching.
• Experience in VMware datacenter for enclaves, multitenancy, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Experience in software application maintenance on systems running a variety of operating systems.
• Good communication skills to effectively and accurately exchange information.
• Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
• Must have a current DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II certification (i.e., Security CE).
• Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with SCI eligibility.

Salary Range

Salary Minimum: $40,000 Salary Mid: $80,000 Salary Maximum: $100,000 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees.
