Responsibilities

We are eager to tap the expertise of an experienced wireless networking scientist to help us research and optimize technology development in wireless network architecture and protocols. The challenges this researcher will help us solve center on:• Applied research and technology development in diverse areas related to wireless systems architectures and protocols (autonomous network control, management, and reconfiguration; adaptive networking; routing; MAC; cognitive radios; cyber security; innovative protocol stacks, 5G, mobile applications).• Advanced algorithms and networking software for more efficient and reliable network communications in disconnected, intermittent wireless environments.• Technical leadership in research and development efforts.• High quality scientific papers and patent applications.• New technical ideas and business opportunities in adaptive wireless networking.

Qualifications

BS 10-12, MS 8-10, Phd 5-7

Skills and Experience You Should Possess: • Knowledge of computer networking with emphasis on wireless mobile networks, wireless systems engineering, IP protocol stack, network slicing, MANET unicast and multicast.• Strong software systems skills and experience in prototype development (Java, C/C , Linux network programming)• Experience in designing, implementing, and integrating complex software systems, including multi-process multi-threaded programming.• Demonstrated ability to conduct scientific research and work well with other team members.

Additional Desired Skills• Knowledge of military waveforms (e.g., TSM, MN-MIMO, HNW, SATCOM, TROPO), including protocol stacks and message formats.• Experience in scalable data aggregation, dissemination, analytics, and search frameworks.• Knowledge of advanced algorithms such as dynamic programming, network utility maximization, data analytics, optimization.• Knowledge of 5G, NFV/SDN, OpenStack, Reliable UDP, Multi-topology Routing, Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC).• Experience in proposal writing for government agencies (e.g., DARPA, ONR, NSC).

Colorado Salary Minimum: $95,800 Colorado Salary Maximum: $232,500 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees.
