Job Description



Peraton is seeking a Project Manager to support our growing Space Force customer. This position is preferred on-site, but does have a 100% remote work authorization.  We are seeking an individual with strong technical and team collaboration skills to help drive excellence in support to the Program Management Office (PMO), The ideal candidate will act as significant, self-starter, contributor, often leading technical engineering, integration, and solutioning, with Product-owner, Chief Systems Engineer, Software Developers, Engineers, and Architects. Join our dynamic team to Do the Can’t Be Done! 



What you’ll do:


The Project Manager, in conjunction with the Project Lead and Release Train Engineer (RTE), Operations Manager, and Deputy Program Manager, will deliver products as required to meet CDRLs, including technical documentation and capture, and facilitate production for Software Development, DevSecOps strategies, implementation of RMF, secure as you build concepts, and increase efficiency, velocity, productivity, via process and best-practices across all teams. Works with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of products, support to the PMO for budgetary practices, hiring & staffing, employee engagement, work productivity against established goals or metrics, and knowledge management across all teams. The Project Manager will also facilitate communication across internal Peraton Teams or assets, promote cross-team collaboration, participate in routine engagements regarding PMO business (internal support to SWAFS from other internal Peraton Team e.g. Finance, Security, Sub-Contracting, Legal/HR, Recruiting, etc.). The ideal candidate will be skilled at driving innovation, mindful of concepts such as Cost, Performance, and Schedule, and will facilitate product delivery for multiple stakeholders. This position will have direct supervisory responsibilities for Peraton employees.


The Project Manager will be responsible for the following but not limited to:

  • Provides leadership and management to the execution, definition, and strategy of enterprise applications technology projects.
  • The Project Manager reports directly to the Deputy Program Manager, and is responsible for communicating expectations, management, new processes, and concepts of quality, down-echelon to teams.
  • Responsible for the end-to-end management of one or more medium to large sized, moderately to highly complex software development projects within the IT and operating departments.
  • Responsible for scoping, planning, executing, and monitoring the projects to keep projects on schedule, on budget, and following appropriate protocols with Technical Operations, Application Development, and Business Intelligence teams.
  • Performs strategic planning, coordination of a roadmap, development, construction, and implementation plan to address the software platform for the organization.
  • Serves as PM/DPM representative with purview for application development projects, working with stakeholders to ensure seamless transition of new and existing clients in all aspects of IT and business operations.
  • Works with new business implementation leads to identify workflows, protocols, information gathering for new client implementations.
  • Provides direction or Leadership to support development of Technical Point Papers, Proposals, and winning new business as required.
  • Develops project plans to manage the end-to-end project activities and execution approach. Establishes software development processes and metrics that measure and improve team performance.
  • Establishes a Process Framework for all Development enhancements, projects, and releases. Plans, leads, assigns, supervises, and controls activities related to application software design and development.
  • Participates and works with Software Architects and Developers in the analysis and development of business requirements.
  • Establishes and manages project timelines, goals, and objectives.




  • Requires BA/BS with 10 years of experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of employee and/or contract management level responsibilities within the last 5 years of employment history.
  • Incumbent will have 6 years demonstrated and proven ability to lead teams, develop talent, and deliver against programmatic objectives (cost, product, schedule).

Colorado Salary Minimum: $84,300 Colorado Salary Maximum: $204,400 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees.
