Peraton is Hiring a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst II Near Arlington, VA

Responsibilities

Peraton is currently seeking to hire a Geospatial Information Systems Analyst for its' Federal Strategic Cyber group in Arlington, VA.

Location: On site in Arlington, VA 

Role and Responsibilities: 

  • You will be a member of the contractor support team providing Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) analysis and telecommunications infrastructure analytical support to a DHS customer in Arlington, VA.
  • You will be responsible for GIS analytical support, including: geospatial analysis and modeling for communications infrastructure, preparation of cartographic products, utilization of geodatabases, representing the customer GIS program with other state, federal, interagency groups, coordinating with other agencies and customers, and familiarity with relevant data formats and standards.
  • You will need to have experience with ESRI desktop and web-based products, to include ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ESRI extensions, ArcGIS Online, MS Office, RDBMS concepts, and Python or ModelBuilder application development.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to peer review products for quality control and provide feedback to colleagues.
  • Activities include supporting the government in a variety of long- and short-term analyses of key infrastructures, supporting training and exercises in supporting the development and conduct of internal and external activities, supporting all-hazard emergency operations by developing GIS products to provide information to senior government leaders, government and industry partners and emergency responders on both the projected impacts disasters and the actual impacts following events.
  • Other activities may include development of briefings, creation of ad-hoc products to answer customer inquiries, supporting emergency operations, temporary deployment to disaster and other relocation sites and other duties and tasks that may be required to meet the client needs.

Qualifications

Requirements: 

  • Bachelors degree and a minimum of 2-4 years of relevant GIS experience
  • Experience with ESRI desktop and web-based products, to include: 
  • ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ESRI extensions, ArcGIS Online, MS Office, RDBMS concepts, and Python or ModelBuilder application development.
  • U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret/SCI clearance as well as being able to obtain DHS Suitability.

Colorado Salary Minimum: $45,600 Colorado Salary Maximum: $110,500 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees.
