SummaryPer Sé Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a full-time/direct hire position with our client in the near western Chicago suburbs. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and setting up of production machinery and mechanical equipment and will perform corrective and preventive maintenance, focusing on maintaining desirable production and quality levels with maximum safety standards.Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot issues, perform immediate repairs, execute preventive maintenance on equipment
  • Assemble & Install New Equipment & Lines
  • Perform equipment changeovers and production line setups
  • Support & assist Product Trials
  • Suggest / Request Parts / Inventory Parts
  • Resolve Work Requests – M or Radio Calls
  • Perform accurate & successful PM’s
  • Write End of Shift Report
  • Fill out M Personal Work Orders
  • Can read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service, research parts needed and generate parts request to ensure adequate inventory
  • Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of machines
Preferred Skills and Expertise
  • 1-3 years of industrial maintenance experience required (experience in a high-paced food production company is a plus)
  • Ethical conduct, problem solving mindset and technical capability
  • Ability to follow specifications and read electrical schematics
  • Welding, fabrication, and machining mill skills preferred
  • Electrical trouble shooting experience
  • Programmable Logic Control (PLC) knowledge preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required
