Job Skills / Requirements

The Inside Sales Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of the inside sales team insuring maximization of sales growth along with customer attrition. This position is also responsible for recruitment, training, development, as well as ensuring sales team coordinates with local branch operations.

In this role, you will:

  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure maximum productivity including but not limited to following up on existing leads and maximization of call volume
  • Meet the weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals for the department, along with increasing the recurring revenue of the department with new enhancement of services
  • Review daily processes to streamline and improve day-to-day tasks and duties assuring customer satisfaction along with driving sales.
  • Promote company values by providing exceptional customer service. 
  • Create opportunities for Per Mar in the market place to obtain sales
  • Assist customers who ask to speak with a supervisor and handle or facilitate escalations as appropriate.
  • Coordinate and drive existing/new projects for improvement of effectiveness and efficiency of the department.
  • Meet weekly and/or bi-monthly with manager to communicate status updates and needs inside the department.
  • Compile and distribute departmental reports, and track trends as required.
  • Create and update the written policies and procedures compiled in the Inside Sales Guidebook.

ADDITIONAL MANAGEMENT DUTIES

  • Handle department issues to assure the department remains professional and all work is completed as scheduled.
  • Provide employee counseling and/or discipline, as necessary.
  • Pre-screen, interview, and extend job offers to candidates for open positions within the department.
  • Help develop, monitor, and provide employee training
  • Conduct regular employee one on ones and Performance Reviews.
  • Continually develop personal and employee job roles via training and conference opportunities.
  • Perform all supervisory/managerial responsibilities in a manner that fully complies with Per Mar’s Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Policy and that meets the requirements of all related federal and state regulations. Adhere to all EEO/AA guidelines and regulations in the hiring, placement, promotion, transfer, selection, and training processes. 
  • Hire, train, and mentor direct reports by making sound hiring decisions, training each new hire and current staff as needed and continually mentoring staff in order to assist in the successful performance of your direct reports.
  • Address performance and behavior issues in a timely manner. Work with Human Resources when necessary regarding employee relations issues and follow through with appropriate action. Approach each issue fair and consistently in order to reduce Per Mar’s legal risk.

What you’ll need:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required. Degree in business or related field is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated successful performance in Inside Sales, Call Center, Customer Care, and/or alarm industry duties is required.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain specified licensure/certifications to perform work in the industry according to the rules and regulations prescribed by the state in which the branch operates.
