PeopleLift is Hiring a Payroll Specialist Near Atlanta, GA

The Payroll & Total Rewards Specialist is responsible for preparation, processing, and distribution of all payrolls (e.g., hourly, non-exempt & exempt), administration of compensation/pension/retirement plans and serves as a backup to the HRIS & Payroll Manager and Benefits & Wellness Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Payroll:

o Oversee semi-monthly, multi-state payroll processing for exempt and non-exempt personnel within Paylocity

o Maintain employee records, including medical leave, paid time off, benefits, promotions, terminations, internal job changes and salary increases

o Perform all necessary payroll processing of 401K files and reporting of employee 401(k) contributions, loan repayments, and employer contributions..

Total Rewards (Compensation & Benefits)

o Assists employees with questions related to payroll, tax, benefits, and retirement contributions.

o Works with HRIS vendors and internal departments to test system configuration for both new, existing and enhanced features within the Paylocity system.

o Maintains, researches, generates/creates, enhances, analyzes, and audits ad-hoc reports in Paylocity database to ensure database integrity and accuracy.

o Assist, processes and audits annual W-2 and 1095C forms.

o Special projects as assigned.

o Serves as a subject matter expert to others in the department as well as a back-up to foster cross-functional and interdepartmental collaboration.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in business or accounting preferred with 2 or more years of payroll and total rewards experience, in a professional services type environment.
  • Compensation & Benefits administration experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency with large scale payroll systems (Paylocity preferred), MS Office applications - Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Experience with ViDesktop is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with HRIS and Payroll System Reporting with a strong aptitude for creating, deciphering, analyzing, reviewing and transforming data into understandable summaries (e.g., Charts, Pivot tables, presentations, etc.)
  • Critical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Observes strict confidentiality principles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all levels.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work on-site at least 4 days a week, workdays in office are scheduled based on semi-monthly payroll cycles and submission schedules.
