PeopleCare Corporate is Hiring a Senior Staff Accountant Near Denver, CO

Description

Job Summary

  • Manage the Company’s Month-end Close, Accounts Payable, Facilities Leases, Vendor Relations and supports Financial Planning and Analysis, Monthly and Other Reporting, and Risk Management functions.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Month-end Close: Oversee the monthly close process (in accordance with financial reporting deadlines); Review monthly consolidated P&L, balance sheet, and other required schedules for submission to management; Review various monthly close journal entries and account reconciliations for accuracy and completeness.
  • Accounts Payable: Manage the AP function including the PCHS Corporate Credit Card program. Review and approve all ACH payments and check requests.
  • Vendor Relations: Assure vendors are paid within a reasonable time and perform some purchasing.
  • Facilities Leases: Manage relationships with property owners/management companies for the Company’s four offices and corporate housing locations across the State of Colorado. Coordinate with Operations Team to ensure adequate office space. Prepare timely lease renewal and expansion analyses and support lease negotiations. 
  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Coordinate with the Director of Finance and Accounting to prepare annual budgets and perform monthly budget variance analysis for presentation to executive management. Develop and prepare profitability analyses, cost analyses, and business segment trend analyses.
  • Monthly and Other Reporting: Produce standard monthly financial statements and other reporting requirements in coordination with Director of Finance and Accounting.
  • Risk Management: Coordinate with Director of Finance and Accounting to manage relationship with 3rd party insurance brokers to ensure adequate coverage over multiple insurance lines including workers comp, general and professional liability, cyber, employment practices, directors/officers, and other policy coverages.

Requirements

Education:

  • College degree or higher in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent experience

Experience:

  • Minimum of five years of overall accounting experience, including work directly related to monthly accounting close and financial analysis.
  • Familiarity with healthcare industry concepts, practices, and procedures preferred
  • Hands-on experience with financial management/ERP software; experience with Sage Intacct a plus
  • Proficient in use of standard office software including Microsoft Windows, Word, and Outlook, with demonstrated expertise in Excel

Working Conditions

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Essential physical requirements, such as standing, kneeling, squatting, stooping, or typing.
  • Physical effort/lifting, such as sedentary - up to 10 pounds
  • May be required to work weekends, nights, or be on-call as a regular part of the job.
