PEOPLEASE, LLC is Hiring a Remote Benefits Administrative Assistant

Position Summary

PEOPLEASE is looking for a qualified Benefits Administrative Assistant to join our team. The purpose of the Benefits Department is to manage internal/external employee benefits. The Benefits Administrative Assistant will help the Benefits Department by processing client insurance interest quotes, processing new benefit enrollments, and assisting with HRIS ad-hoc benefit and H.R. reports. Additionally, this position will assist in processing incoming mail and assists when needed in special projects.

An ideal candidate will have the ability to manage and execute the coordination of multiple projects within required timeframes and expectations; demonstrated excellence in communication skills; be able to inform both orally and in writing; working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Demonstrate the ability to perform meticulous tasks; interact, coordinate, follow up, and effectively communicate with other team members, regional teams, Senior Management, and Third-Party Administrators.

Candidate must be an initiative-taker with the ability to function as a remote employee in a distributed work team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Provides general benefit administrative support. Processes healthcare benefit interest forms for PEO product offerings, ensures timely follow up with source of the inquiry.
  • Obtain and maintain benefit documentation for compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations and laws, including company Section 125 plan.
  • Collect healthcare quoting documents as required by Underwriting Department at various carriers. Strict adherence to confidential nature of documents, focus on PHI and HIPAA rules.
  • Create and/or update healthcare quoting spreadsheets to stay on task for meeting or exceeding established deadlines.
  • Works with Benefit team members to audit new monthly enrollments in HRIS PRISM Live.
  • Incoming mail processing upon request.
  • Assists with Benefit inbox email inquiries as required or needed.
  • Participates in special projects as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • H.S. Diploma required.
  • Prefer Associate degree in Human Resource Management or related degree and/or minimum of 1 – 3 years’ experience,
  • Prefer knowledge of 401k plan administration
  • PEO Experience preferred
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Responsive and self-motivate / initiative-taking collaborator/team player
  • Outstanding customer care
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. This position will be working primarily indoors and some of the time in an outdoor environment. From this movement, the employee will encounter varying temperatures. The normal auto and air travel hazards will apply.
