Responsibilities:
- Leverage our core values to create a positive experience for our internal and external clients
- Ability to install HVAC related equipment in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications and to Akian Plumbing, Heating, & AC’s standards
- Mentor and support Install Apprentices under his/her care into Install Technicians
- Run low voltage wiring to related HVAC equipment
- Install lineset and line hide with quality and the using the appropriate techniques and materials in each application
- Install sheet metal, flex and hard duct in residential applications
- Install and connect gas lines to code compliance
- Record all material consumed or used on the job for proper job costing and replenishment
- Ensure the completion of all required documentation including but not limited to: install checklist, photos, daily notes on progress of installation, etc
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues with the assistance of
- manufacturer/supplier technical support or the Install Supervisor
Qualifications:
- EPA Certified or willingness to pursue
- High school diploma or GED
- A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in installation of diverse HVAC equipment (Mitsubishi, American Standard, First Co, Goodman, Etc)
- Be organized with a high level of attention to detail
- Proficient electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to climb ladders, work from heights, work in extreme temperatures (hot or cold), tight confined spaces, and sit/stand for long periods of time
- Physically agile, dexterous, and able to work in confined spaces
