Penn Foster is Hiring a Remote QA Automation Engineer

Position Summary:

Come be a part of the fast-growing Data Team as we move our processes and systems to Azure based Databricks solution. You will play a critical role on this highly visible and strategic team as we revolutionize Penn foster’s data capabilities. The QA Automation role is to lead the design and implementation of QA processes and automation. This includes creating processes, selecting tooling, and implementation. The QA Automation Engineer will also be responsible for functional QA of new processes.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Verifying all releases are accurate, performant, and stable
  • Building automated data validations and regression testing
  • In depth learning of all Penn Foster Data assets on both legacy and new Databricks platforms
  • Adherence to all data governance policies
  • Maintain release documentation
  • Work with project management and development teams on release schedules and processes
  • Implement CI/CD best practices

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Extensive experience creating automated regression tests and data validation processes
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Cloud platform experience (Azure preferred)
  • Hands on experience with CI/CD processes (Azure Dev Ops preferred)
  • Experience with data platform migrations
  • Jira and git knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Skills that are a plus
    • Python
    • Experience with notebooks (Databricks native preferred)
    • Tableau
    • Business Objects
    • CDC capture tools
