We are looking to hire an experienced Accountant to be part of an exciting venture at Via Mizner Golf and City Club! 

The club Accountant will manage the day-to-day administration of the accounting functions and be directly responsible for coordinating accounting, auditing, budget development, taxes, and related activities. We are looking for a professional who can independently undertake all the accounting responsibilities for our Via Mizner Golf and City Club.

The ideal candidate will be skilled in hospitality accounting, a self-starter and self-directed individual who is able to work independently, is knowledgeable and confident with Jonas software, who will perform and oversee all accounting operations of the Club, expertly manage multiple tasks, and provide exceptional customer service both internally and externally. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Performs all financial operations of the club
• Executes day to day operations inclusive of cash controls, bank reconciliation, accounts receivable and payables
• Oversee all accounting functions including, but not limited to operation records, revenue and expense tracking, accounts receivable, accounts payable, member collections, cash management, inventories, etc for all member services including golf and food and beverage operations. 
• Follow GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) for all accounting functions of the Club
• Reconciles monthly ledgers including receivables, payables, bank accounts, asset accounts and wage accounts
• Maintain fixed assets ledgers and prepares depreciation schedules for monthly entries
• Monitors budget and actual cumulative spending for major capital acquisitions
• Oversee and manage member billings and collections; audit all cash and charge expenditures
• Manage monthly conversion of accrual-based reports to cash basis reports
• Responsible for club banking and all funds in bank accounts; assures revenues are properly and correctly deposited and review the drawing of all funds
• Prepare and/or review monthly journal entries as needed
• Performs daily revenue audits and daily posting of revenues and receipts
• Maintain Purchase Order Processing system. 
• Monitor to assure procedures for effective receiving of inventory and storeroom control are in place and utilized
• Direct, participate in and verify monthly and annual physical inventories for beverages, food, supplies, equipment, furnishings, etc.
• Extensive use of Excel with complex models 
• Calculate and submit local, state, and federal tax forms and payments as necessary
• Manage inventory reports, purchasing procedures, accounting controls, chart of accounts and miscellaneous forms
• Maintains necessary confidentiality relating to company matters
• Assists in the preparation of operating budgets 
• Interacts effectively and in a timely fashion with members and suppliers regarding A/R and A/P matters
• Complete assigned projects as they relate to the department and Club’s needs
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting 

· A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience

· Must have hospitality accounting experience (Private Golf Club preferred)

· Knowledge and experience with Jonas software preferred, or other comparable hospitality systems

· Must be highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data

· Highly proficient in Excel Spreadsheets

· Excellent problem-solving skills

· Detail-oriented, ensuring a high level of accuracy, passion for excellence and a great attitude

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Must possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities
