Overview

The Chief Information Officer provides strategic executive-level leadership, to grow and direct the bank while providing our customers with an outstanding customer experience and fostering the bank’s service culture. In addition, the Chief Information Officer directly oversees information technology, payment functions, Deposit and Loan Operations and project management.

Responsibilities

• Develops the Bank’s strategic plan, priorities, and annual goals and budgets, in collaboration with the senior management team and board of directors
• Maintains awareness of external and internal developments that may impact the Bank’s plans, goals and operations
• Leads implementation of selected strategic plan goals
• Oversees information technology, operations, and project management for the bank, ensuring that customers have an outstanding customer experience and Bank’s goals are achieved, and that we are in compliance with applicable external and internal requirements and ethical standards
• Leads the adoption of efficiency and workflow platforms
• Ensure that there is redundancy in our source of processing, to eliminate single source failures
• Ensures that the CEO, Board, and other senior managers are kept up-to-date regarding developments in information technology
• Develops information technology and project management policies and guidance
• Collaborates with other functional leaders to develop business and achieve goals; ensures that the information technology and project management activities complement activities in other functions to support profitable growth across the bank
• Provides information technology reports to the CEO, Board and other senior managers
• Assesses and anticipates information technology projects and recommends appropriate action and resources
• Leads the Project Steering Committee
• Advises from an information technology perspective on the most significant vendor contracts and business opportunities of the bank
• Provides senior executive-level leadership for employee recruitment, training and development, retention, performance management and discipline
• Represents Bank in relationships with industry organizations, auditors, regulatory bodies, and service partners
• Participates in and represents Bank at internal and external meetings and events

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business or information technology/engineering required
• Master’s degree in business or information technology/engineering preferred
• Minimum 15 years of experience in information technology, including experience at the executive level required; experience in financial institution preferred
• Recent experience with data warehouses, network technology, eCommerce and mobile software applications
• Previous management, strategic planning, risk management, project management, and vendor management experience
• Expertise in Cloud Technology, payments, Deposit and Loan Operations
• Functional knowledge of applicable regulations and requirements
