Pella Windows & Doors of New England is Hiring a Finance Manager Near Rochester, NH

Job Title: Finance Manager EEO Category: First/Mid-Level Officials & Mgrs
Department: Finance Payroll Status: Exempt
Reports To: President & General Manager

Summary:

Oversees and manages company finances and administration. Accurately and effectively applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports, budgets, and manages monthly closing process. Oversees other administrative tasks including calculating sales commissions, sales tax filings, annual report filings, and is the primary contact for external auditors and tax preparers.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Responsible for supervising all accounting procedures.
  • Oversees work product of Finance & Admin Assistant and third-party AR & AP processors.
  • Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts.
  • Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
  • Works with Microsoft Dynamics GP and other proprietary Pella software. Prior experience in Dynamics GP preferred, but not required.
  • Review, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
  • Prepares month-end financial statements and other internal financial reports to support management and sales staff.
  • Monitors and reconciles cash daily and assists President & GM with cash flow management.
  • Files monthly and quarterly sales tax returns.
  • Participates in month end, quarterly, and annual financial reporting as required, and oversees the closing duties of the finance assistant and third-party AR & AP processors.
  • Participates in financial audits.
  • Calculates commissions and bonuses, generates statements, and responsible for overseeing payroll process with third party payroll processor.
  • Assists in onboarding/offboarding employees primarily as it relates to payroll software.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in a related field (Accounting preferred); 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Skills and Attitudes Required:

  • Detail oriented and highly organized.
  • Competency in Microsoft Excel including the use of formulas.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, and exercise professional reasoning and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional in behavior, appearance, dependability, and above all else maintains a positive attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Accounting knowledge, and willingness to work with and learn from President/GM (licensed CPA, previously VP

Finance).

  • Ability to work onsite with some potential for work from home opportunity as practical.
