Peerless is looking for our next Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our industrial componentry team. This position is full-time, first shift, and is eligible for benefits!

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Unload, unpackage, examine and inspect incoming materials for accuracy as well as wear and defects, reporting discrepancies to supervisor.
• Mark incoming materials with proper tagging and labelling.
• Determine proper storage methods, following methodology for organization and bin location.
• Process inventory receipts accurately and timely in ERP system.
• Pick, package, and load outgoing materials for on-time shipment.
• Process outgoing shipments accurately and timely in ERP system.
• Work closely with other departments in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform quality work within deadlines.
• Submits suggestions for departmental, process and safety improvements.
• Maintains a neat and orderly work area.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Detail-oriented, dependable and conscientious person with a passion for closure and strong work ethic.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, shipping, receiving and/or inspection environments.
• Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Must have experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Must have no lifting restrictions.
• Possess strong computer, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
