What are the responsibilities and job description for the Orthodontic Assistant position at Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics?
We are looking for a detail-oriented and compassionate individuals to join our team as an Orthodontic Assistant. In this role, you will work closely with orthodontists to provide high-quality care to our patients.. Travel is REQUIRED as we have multiple offices located in Roswell, Canton, Duluth, and Brookhaven.
Duties include :
- Assist orthodontists in providing patient care and treatment.
- Prepare patients for orthodontic procedures, including taking medical documentation and obtaining patient history.
- Perform patient assessments, including taking and recording vital signs.
- Assist with orthodontic procedures, such as placing braces, adjusting wires, and taking impressions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using Epic or other electronic medical record systems.
- Assist with medical coding and billing processes.
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create orthodontic appliances.
- Sterilize and maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment.
Experience:
- Previous experience working as an orthodontic assistant is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry is a plus.
- Familiarity with Epic or other electronic medical record systems is beneficial.
Job Types: Temporary, Part-time, Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
