The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of our Non-Profit company reports to the Executive Director. The CFO is responsible for strategically managing and safeguarding the assets of the organization and for ensuring that all financial functions meet the needs of the organization and its constituents. The CFO will lead and enhance the organization’s finance operations and manage ongoing financial accounting and budgeting processes in support of the strategies and goals of the business, including accountability for the design, implementation, and administration of Finance functions, financial operations, treasury services, accounting, investments, external reporting, and purchasing as well as all staff hiring, training & development. They will demonstrate a broad command of financial best practices and serve as a visionary leader who will bring continual improvements to the organization’s financial policies, practices, and overall operations.
The CFO will be part of the leadership team and will need to work closely with the other members of the team. The Chief Financial Officer will also provide information to the Board of Directors and work closely with the funding sources.
The CFO will drive the evolution of our team, ensuring that that it partners effectively throughout the organization, delivering excellent, proactive, customer-oriented services. They will develop innovative and strategic programs for the organization, continuously evaluate and streamline business processes, and apply technology to unlock capacity within the team and within the broader organization. They will also manage and coach the team to develop best-in-class services.
