Your Impactful Role

• Efficiently processing and distributing incoming and outgoing mail to ensure smooth operations.
• Completing the daily functions in the mail room, ensuring that all documents are organized and accounted for.
• Accurately receiving, verifying, and seamlessly uploading medical records into our electronic medical record system, maintaining a seamless flow of information.
• Handling medical record requests from various stakeholders, such as attorneys, patients, insurance companies, physicians, clinics, and hospitals, with precision and promptness.
• Answering calls and responding to emails promptly, offering professional and courteous assistance to all inquiries.
• Coordinating the retrieval of offsite medical records and x-rays from our storage company, ensuring all necessary data is accessible.
• Filling in for the courier when needed to ensure the continuity of our services.
• Maintaining a courteous, friendly, and professional demeanor in all interactions, contributing to a positive working environment.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of customer service experience in a high-volume, multi-unit medical practice.
• Knowledge of basic clinical functions, administrative practices, and operational procedures in a medical setting.
• Effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Skills to sort and file materials correctly using alphabetic and numeric systems.
• Knowledge of MS Word and an Electronic Medical Record system (Athena).
• Problem-solving abilities and adaptability in non-standardized situations.
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
