Overview

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator provides administrative support to the recruitment process while ensuring a positive candidate experience. The Talent Acquisition Coordinator is accountable for support activities including: posting jobs; scheduling interviews; coordinating pre-employment screening; responding to applicant inquiries; assisting recruitment with sourcing and screening applicants; and representing the company at job fairs and other recruiting events.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with management to determine staffing needs, best recruiting process for position(s).
  • Coordinates appropriate employment screening such as professional reference checks, background checks and employment testing.
  • Sources suitable candidates through various sourcing channels including LinkedIn Recruiter, Application Tracking System (ATS) and internal relationships mining including alternative solutions.
  • Drafts and sends out recruitment emails to potential candidates.
  • Develops advertising programs to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.
  • Promotes the PEA Group Employer Brand when communicating with candidates on various platform.
  • Schedules interviews with qualified job applicants to fill entry-level, professional, and technical job openings.
  • Sends out onboarding paperwork to new hires and maintains up-to-date documentation within ATS.
  • Coordinates and attends career fairs, networking events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.
  • Ensures a positive candidate experience with transparency, timely follow-up, and communication.
  • Manages, tracks, and reports current candidate and employment activity.
  • Ensures data accuracy within ATS.
  • Maintains memberships and affiliations with trade/professional organizations related to industry.
  • Stays current and aware of recruiting trends to identify new methods of candidate sourcing.
  • Collaborates with Marketing Dept. to promote PEA Group brand on internal and external job boards.
  • Assists in the development of recruitment strategies within assigned business unit(s).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Formal Education, Licenses and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field required.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Prior experience as a Talent Acquisition Coordinator, HR Assistant or a similar role.
  • Knowledge of how to use the various sourcing channels including social media.
  • Experience with recruiting sources, including social media, warm/cold calling, referrals, events, networking, publications, industry groups/associations, and job fairs.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems like iCIMS with an emphasis on data integrity and metrics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a largely a sedentary role: however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Availability

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
