We are seeking an IT System Administrator to join our growing team of top technology professionals in our office in Newton, Massachusetts.
As part of the IT Operations team, you share responsibility for the design, development, provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems and software, as well as related infrastructure environments.

The kind of stuff you’ll be doing:
IT Systems and Applications
Own various IT systems and applications across the company, e.g. corporate servers, networking, security, SaaS platforms
Maintain operating efficiency and stability, ensure the security and integrity of all systems and data
Respond to outages and other issues.
Perform application administration activities such as: managing users, configure SSO login, optimizing remote access, apply security model and other security patches
Coordinate with department leadership to plan, design, and schedule system updates
Develop and enhance processes and technical documentation, create back-up procedures, test plans, and reports
IT Asset Management
Accurately receive, dispose of & track all IT assets
Define, document & continuously improve IT Asset Management processes
Partnering with the Security Operations Team to:
Define, implement & improve repeatable mobile device build & deployment process(es)
Ensure the security of all Paytronix user computing devices (laptops, virtual machines, etc.) & applications
Continuously improve IT security practices & raise the overall security awareness of Paytronix employees
Gathering Weekly KPIs for management reporting in support of trend analysis and continuous improvement
Applying your IT experience to identify & resolve IT issues and problems
The kind of experience you’ll need:
Experience with IT Service Desk Tools & Systems
Understanding of basic networking & security concepts
Understanding of Microsoft Windows networking & administration (domains, active directory, group policy, etc.)
Knowledge of IT infrastructure, security and operations best practices
Advanced troubleshooting skills and a proven ability to “figure things out”
Self-driven with a demonstrated ability to accomplish projects in a timely manner, with high quality and minimal supervision
Ability to work in our Newton, MA office
The extra stuff that would be nice:
Experience with a scripting language such as PowerShell or Python or other coding experience
Experience with IT automation tools & technologies
Experience with Single Sign On Technologies
Experience with Atlassian tools such as Confluence and JIRA
Experience with email security tools, anti-virus/anti-malware tools, mobile device management tools
Experience with cloud providers such as Amazon AWS & Microsoft Azure
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively listen and communicate information in a clear and concise manner to, and with, all levels of the company
