PayRange is an innovative payments technology company headquartered in Portland, Oregon. We bring convenience to our customers’ lives with our mobile solution for purchases at unattended points of sale, vending machines, amusement devices, laundry and more.

We are an energetic and collaborative team and we are looking for a Senior Accountant to join us. This is a great opportunity to be part of a fun team, learn the business, and have exposure to multiple parts of the organization.

You will be part of the Finance Team, ensuring the accuracy of our accounting records and financial reporting. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all local, state and government reporting and tax filings and payments. You will be a financial wizard, an expert on accounting, data analysis, reporting, tax and other finance related matters.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES & DUTIES

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records and financial reports
• Perform day to day accounting and processing of transactions
• Manage and work closely with our outsourced accounting partner ensuring accuracy of numbers and that our books are closed by the month end deadlines
• Review accounting records to ensure accuracy in accordance with US GAAP
• Review and in some cases prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Review and analyze financial results
• Preparation of monthly flash and management reports
• Implement and constantly improve internal controls
• Ensuring compliance with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings (payroll tax, sales tax, property tax etc)
• Working closely with our external tax advisors and VP of Finance & Operations in providing the necessary data and analyses required for annual taxes filings
• AR and AP
• Weekly processing of payments to vendors
• Working with ADP in preparing and processing bi-monthly payroll
• Work closely with auditors and VP of Finance & Operations in performing annual audit and implementing recommendations
• Collaborating and working closely with logistics, sales, engineering and other teams across the business
• Any other ad-hoc tasks assigned

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting
• CPA
• Thorough knowledge of US GAAP

Experience

• 2 - 3 years' experience in a similar role
• Experience working for a startup or in similar environment
