Job Description Summary: Develop automation scripts for effective utilization of infrastructure resources and waste management as a part of Cloud Optimization program. Job Description: Your day to day Develop systems and processes to perform a regular and close follow-up of budget and build long-term financial strategies using cloud available tools (Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, etc.) to minimize cost while keeping flexibility Track infrastructure consumption across all the 3 cloud service providers Build and promote financial observability as well as optimization patterns Improve cost efficiency culture and build a true FinOps mindset within PayPal’s Infra team Continuously collaborate with Infrastructure and Product teams to adapt and optimize cloud infrastructure for their needs Work closely with the Infrastructure and Product teams to give them the ability to detect any unusual consumption in the cloud infrastructure footprint What do you need to bring: Programming/scripting experience (Python, Shell, Golang will be an added advantage) Experience in cost management optimization/analysis for Cloud Service Providers and familiarity with their cost structure (AWS, GCP, Azure) Understanding of cloud service models IAAS, PAAS , SAAS for one or more cloud service providers Strong ability to analyze data, interpret data, and provide insightful conclusions Experience in Cloud Financial Management (CFM) and FinOps with fundamental knowledge of key concepts and value proposition Experience in creating/updating monitoring dashboards for capturing meaningful insights Experience with Agile methodologies/DevOps environment Engineering mindset focused on optimizing performance, scalability, resiliency and cost efficiency Enthusiastic in ownership, initiative, and collaboration **We know the confidence gap and imposter syndrome can get in the way of meeting spectacular candidates.
