About the opportunity...

We are looking for a Product Designer who is excited to be part of Pawp’s early story and build a diverse and vibrant design culture at Pawp. As a member of the Product Design team, you will be responsible for taking ideas from low fidelity UX designs all the way through high fidelity design, review, and release. You will play an important role in designing and building the features powering the next evolution of pet health care.

We hire designers with broad sets of technical skills, with user-centered mindset, who are highly cross-functional, and eager to design in a high-paced environment. For this particular role, we are looking for ambitions designers who want to build upon their skill set through designing simple and elegant experiences that will help make pet parenting easier, more efficient, and more comforting for the pets and their guardians.

As an early employee, you'll be working with a small, nimble, and strong team of committed and talented designers and will have a large, long-term impact on Pawp's design and company culture. This role will be reporting directly to our Product Design Lead.

What you’ll do...

  • Deliver consumer-ready features for native mobile and web applications, working cross-functionally with Engineers, PM's, and other teams, to ship, maintain, and evolve features to improve our product offerings for our end-users, the pet parent community.
  • Take ideas from low fidelity UX design to high fidelity UI design;
  • Be extremely hands-on. Use your experience to know how and when to build and combine assets like personas, journey maps, sketches, wireframes, and prototypes all while contributing to a centralized design system and delivering pixel-perfect specs to developers.
  • Take ownership of your work, iterating and refining your ideas through feedback loops, and accounting for every last detail, every step of the way.
  • A willingness to define and navigate ambiguity;

What you’ll need...

  • 3 years of experience working at product-focused tech company designing product experiences for customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to design consumer products from end-to-end with interface and experience in mind.
  • Strong ability to speak to design decisions from past work and/or portfolio.
  • Experience in Figma
